My Professional Experience at JC Valves India Pvt. Ltd., Chennai

 This was a wonderful technological journey I had in my lifetime, I joined the Company as a Engineer - Trainee and I was the only trainee in the Organization to get various department exposure and Later promoted to Junior Engineer in the same Organization. I thank Mr. R.Ganesh, MD of the Organization for providing me this wonderful oppurtunity to work and Multidisiplinary exposure for me Become Possible because of my Operational Director Mr. K. Venkataramana., He is the marvelous person utmost cared in blending my career and to give an World Class Exposure on Valve Manufacturing,. And even Many more persons like my Senior Mr. Naveen Krishna, My Design Dept. Head, Mr. Kannan, Quality Dept. Head Mr. Jeganathan, Production Dept HOD and Supervisors, Planning Engineer and every one in the organization guided me and taught me various skills in their own area of expertise. I learnt Lot in the Organization. 

The responsibilities handled by me were,

•  Prepared BOM and GAD for Various Sizes and Class ratings of Ball, Butterfly, Gate, Globe and Check Valves.
•  Developed Models of various Valve components using Solidworks and AutoCad.
•  Dimensioned Various Valve Parts using GD&T as per standard ASME Y14.5.
•  Indulged in Calculating and Analyzing the Maximum Allowable Stem Torques and Operating Torque Values of TMBV and SSBV.
•  Updated Drawing Master list, Engineering Change Note, KPI.
•  Reviewed Designs to meet up various design standards such as ASME B16.34, B16.5 and B16.10.
•  Validated Indian Ball Valve Designs.
•  Improvised various Design Factors that to be controlled to increase the productivity and improve effectiveness in Valve Assembly and Testing.
•  Inspected Ball Valves and its components at various stages such as Receipt, In-process and Final.
•  Analyzed Rework and Rejections, Supplier Performance& Ratings, NCR’s and CAPA.
•  Visited and Audited Vendors and Supplier Foundries, Forge and machine Shops to develop quality all over India.
•  Reviewed Calibrations, Updated History card and master list for various measuring Instruments,
• Torque Wrenches and Pressure Gauges.
•  Analyzed and closed Customer Complaints and NCR’s.
•  Prepared various QAP and ITP’s.
•  Reviewed Material Test Certificates from suppliers.
•  Hands on experience in Testing of Ball Valves as per API 598 and API 6D.
•  Handled Various TPI for various customers such as Reliance, QP, Cairn, BGR, Carlton, Bliss Anand, S Mark, etc.,
•  Hands on experience in Non Destructive testing such as LPT, MPT, RT, UT, VT.
•  Hands on experience in Ball Valve Assembly as per ball valve manufacturing Standards ASME
• B16.34 and API 6D. In Critical Scenarios, Handled Production in role of being an Production Engineer.
•  Having Good Knowledge on API Spec Q1 QMS and API 6D.
