My internship at ISMAT Rubbers India Pvt. Ltd., Chennai (Sep ‘2017 – Nov ‘2017)

 This was my first core company to get internship after my completion of UG Degree i.e., B.E., Mechanical Engineering. Wonderful organization with huge human values and ergonomics consideration. I learned a lot here in this organization within 3 months, It gave me an huge exposure especially from my General Manager and Rubber Technologist Mr. K.K. Padmanabhan, Six Sigma BlackBelt Holder and Gold medalist. I feel very much previlage to work under his guidence and I have got lot of TQM concept knowledge through him only. He is one of my inspiring leader. And the entier organization contributed for my career growth.

Responsibilities handled:

Prepared Standard Operating Procedure and Standard Work Sheet for Machine Cells & Components of Rubber such as FKM and all the grades of FKM, HNBR, NBR, EPDM, CR, NR, SBR etc., and for Teflon / Engineering Plastics such as PTFE & Filled Grades of PTFE,PEEK & alloys of PEEK, PCTFE , Poly amide 6 and 66, POM C, Devlon, Nylatron, etc.,

Preparation of PQVC and Daily reports with various inspection Reports.

Performed Daily Review of Reports, and Analyzed Production Value, COPQ, Maintenance Costs, Operating Costs, Man-Power issues, Breakdown issues and reported time-to-time with Management.

Involved in Process improvisations and Production / Process time reductions.

Performed Safety FMEA, Process FMEA and Product FMEA and arrived mitigation plans and Contingency plans for them. Implemented 5S all over the factory premises.

Performed Inspection & Testing of Rubber Products at various Stages using Various metrological instruments such as VMM, Tensile Testing Machine, Densitometer, Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, etc.,

Involved in Preparing IATF Documentation & Quality Documentations.
