My Internship at Metroprecision India Pvt. Ltd., Chennai (May ‘2019 – July ‘2019)

 In this internship, I worked for an Startup company making geotechnical testing machines such as soil testing machines. This startup company was held by ISRO Scientist Dr. Arunagiri Purushothaman, And I feel very much previlage to work under him for the due course.

Responsibilities Undertaken at this internship:

                 Created CAD models-Parts and Assembly, creating and detailing part drawings & assembly drawings with various assembly views and created BOM, with GDT Skills (Geometric dimensioning & tolerance), maintaining CAD database in Solid works & AutoCAD Modeling Software.

                       Production planning, identifying manufacturing processes, identifying potential manufacturing facilities, obtaining competitive quote for the manufacturing process, cost evaluation, material selection & procurement, obtaining quote for material, finalizing the contractor and preparation of the documents applicable to the process such as P.O, QA plan, Inspection Plan etc, specifying the material, process specification, quality control of the process etc, managing the inspection and QA auditing of the manufacturing process, assembly and testing on technically demanding development projects of Metro Precision Ltd.

                        Assembly and acceptance testing of the produced units

                        Handled the material purchasing and (COTS) Commercially off the Shelf equipment purchasing required for the project, communicated with the supplier and finalized the required product/service specification.
