My Professional Experience at Propel Valves Pvt. Ltd., Chennai

 Propel Valves Pvt. Ltd., is the Organization which has four decades of history in Manufacturing Industrial Ball Valves and this organization has wonderful customers like Festo, Hindustan Unilever, Anjaan Drugs, Malladi Chemicals, Ultramarine Pigments Ltd., etc., Due to the next generation takeover of this Organization they offered me with a job to improvise the organization in various areas and aspects. I was working with Mr. Vivek Simon, MD of the Organization, who was very down to earth person. And I had a Great Opportunity to work with a senior most designer Mr. M. Swaminathan, He has the experience of designing from the past 40 years from handmade sketches to current 2D Sketches using CAD. I were doing 3D models for this Organization. This gave me a lot of knowledge on Ball, Gate, Globe and NRV designs. This opportunity in my career made me to make wonders inside the organization. They Cared me more on my technical Development also. I have Studied MBA, ISO 9001;2001 QMS Lead Auditor kind of courses while working in this organization. 

The Responsibility handled by me were,

• Responsible to attend to customer on time with required / requested details.

• Suggesting Customer on Valve Sizing & Class ratings and Worked in Application Engineering.

• Development of valve components in 2D and 3D, Prepared BOM & GAD.

• Optimization the cost of each project and work on Costings & Discounts for the Project.

• Prepared, reviewed, and implemented QAP, ITP and Control Plans Internally and provided them to our customers.

• Conducting Contract review and understand project requirements and convey that to our CFT team.

• Managing Time to ensure that the Projects are shipped within the committed delivery dates.

• Working & coordinating with Customers & Third Party Inspection agencies and coordinate the approval of documents and inspection of valves.

• Working with Purchase Team on Order Commitments and Tracking them on daily Basis.

• Coordinating with all concerned departments for the execution of the projects.

• Worked as Production Planner (PPC) to ensure optimal utilization of Resources (4M’s) to get better profit for the Organization.

• Involved in Planning of production of Valve Components Machining in CNC Turning Centers.

• Coordinating with Production Team & Design team to complete projects on the most quickest.

• Co-ordinate with Freight Forwarders for the shipment of the goods, once the shipment clearance is obtained.

• Identify and develop the parts with new vendors for supply of parts in a lead time.

• Out-sourcing / Sub-contracting the materials with Technical and commercial negotiations.

• Implemented ISO Quality Management Systems, Prepared & maintained ISO 9001:2015 Documents and performed Various Internal Audits.

• Served as Management Representative (MR) for ISO QMS Auditing.

• Conducted Supplier Audits in Supplier foundries and machine shops.

• Handled various customer Complaints, Performed site visits, provided corrective actions and Analyzed root causes through various TQM Techniques (5 why, Brainstorming, Ishikawa diagram, Pareto analysis and so on.) Provided 8D Reports and CAPA to the customers. Monitored the effectiveness of the same.

• Involved in Special valve projects such as Weld Overlay, Jacketted Valves, Stellite overlay and coating, NAB Valves, ENP coatings, and so on
